2P 500V DC MCB Miniature Circuit Breaker Price

2P 500V DC MCB Miniature Circuit Breaker

The 2P 500V DC MCB Miniature Circuit Breaker is an industry-grade, non-polarized direct current protection switch engineered specifically for solar panel arrays, DC combiner boxes, battery banks, and solar inverters. Unlike standard AC breakers that can catch fire when breaking DC arcs, this specialized DC breaker features permanent magnet blow-out chutes and high-speed silver-alloy contacts to safely extinguish DC electrical arcs up to 500V DC.

Key Technical Specifications:

  • Poles: 2 Poles (2P Series Connection for 500V DC rated isolation).
  • Rated Voltage (Ue): 500V DC (Tested to 600V DC impulse insulation).
  • Current Ratings: Available in 32A, 40A, and 63A ratings suitable for 3kW to 15kW solar inverter strings.
  • Breaking Capacity (Icu): 6kA (6000A) high short-circuit interruption capacity according to IEC/EN 60947-2 & IEC 60898-1 standards.
  • Non-Polarity Design: Bidirectional current flow allows flexible positive and negative wiring without reverse polarity risk.
  • Trip Curve: Type C magnetic-thermal trip curve designed for solar PV DC surges and capacitive inrush currents.
  • Mounting: Standard 35mm DIN Rail installation fits all standard Pakistani distribution boxes (DBs) and IP65 weatherproof combiner boxes.
  • Mechanical Lifespan: Over 20,000 mechanical operations and 10,000 electrical load breaking cycles.

Why DC Breakers are Mandatory for Solar in Pakistan

Direct current from solar panels does not have a zero-crossing point like AC mains power. Using an ordinary AC circuit breaker on solar DC wiring will fail to extinguish the arc during a fault, melting the breaker and creating an extreme fire hazard. This NEPRA net-metering compliant 500V DC MCB provides guaranteed protection for your Inverex, Solis, Knox, GoodWe, or Ziewnic solar inverter against catastrophic short circuits, overcurrent, and lightning surges.
